The Videographer will film and edit a variety of unique local events that are of interest to ComSouth Video Television customers in a fast-paced, busy environment and consistently meet deadlines. These events include but are not limited to: city council meetings, county commission meetings, school board meetings, annual festival highlights, chamber of commerce meetings, parades, public hearings, grand openings, ribbon cuttings, school events, concerts, award banquets, sporting events, field trips, fund raising events, political events, church services, recitals, college events, student recorded news, sports and weather shows, school calendars, announcements, and public interest interviews. The Videographer will be responsible to and directed by the Video Content & Production Manager.
The Videographer will film and edit these events for the ComSouth Channel 100. Videographer will be an hourly contractor for ComSouth and will submit timesheets and invoices on the 1st of each month for services rendered directly to ComSouth through the Video Content & Production Manager for payment monthly. Payment can be expected by the 15th of each month if timesheets and invoices are submitted on time and accurately. The Video Content & Production Manager will train and schedule the videographer for approved events and times. Videographer is responsible for all ComSouth property including filming equipment, computers, ComSouth shirts, ID badges and other ComSouth property used until Videographer turns it in to the Video Content & Production Manager and the Video Content & Production Manager confirms the property has been turned in and is undamaged by signing in the items. Videographer will pay for any items that are damaged, lost, stolen or unaccounted for while in his or her possession.
Requirements: Previous video experience a plus. Must be able to learn how to set-up, light and shoot video and be able to recognize powerful video images. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and consistently meet deadlines. Must have attention to detail, a commitment to quality and be results driven and customer focused. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
